

Pregnancy Yoga
(from 12th to 32nd week of pregnancy) Thursdays 19h00-20h00
(from 28th week of pregnancy to birth) Wednesdays 10h15-11h15
To be pregnant and to feel a baby growing inside of yourself is an extraordinary
and precious experience. It is during this time that a profound communication
can be established between the future mother and the baby
to guarantee the most serene unfolding of the pregnancy, the birth,
and all the
years to follow.
Often, the woman, due to hormonal changes, is very
sensitive to both her external and internal environment.
A conscious and peaceful breath rapidly diminishes the stress
and can, after having been learned and understood by the future
mother, be used at every moment. Suggested positive affirmations
during moments of relaxation bring mental and emotional peace and can
equally be used by the future mother outside of class to keep her
elevated vitality.
If the future mother is centered and joyous, the baby can be also
as the vibratory link is so strong between the two. By specific
physical movements during this period, the body achieves and maintains
flexibility and strength. The nervous system is reinforced and the
hormonal system
is balanced. These permit the future mother to be master of herself
and allow her to move harmoniously and serenely in the world.
The once-weekly pregancy class taught by Denise meets on Thursday evenings
for those from the 12th - 28th week of pregnancy, possibly through
the 32nd week for those not yet on pregnancy leave and on Wednesday
mornings for
those from the 28th week until the end of their term. The future mother
can also follow an individual personal development session "Opening
to the Self," which helps to reorient herself and to adapt
to her new circumstances.

Pregnancy Massage
Pregnancy massage focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her
body goes through the dramatic changes of the childbirth experience.
The pregnant woman, covered by a sheet, lies on her side
hugging a body-length pillow for more comfort. The masseur
gives a classical oil massage to the back, hips, and shoulders before
moving to address any heaviness or soreness in the legs. After both
sides are completed, the woman lies on her back propped up comfortably
with pillows, while
the masseur
continues with the feet, ankles, legs, arms, neck, and face. The massage
helps to relieve stress on weight-bearing joints such as ankles, low
back and pelvis as well as alleviates neck
and back pain caused by muscle imbalance. The sessions last 1 hour and
cost 65 Euros.
