Swami Atma
Originally from France, Swami Atma discovered yoga in the tradition of Swami Sivananda Saraswati of Rishikesh with Andre Van Lysebeth in the early 80s.
In 1987, Swami Atma took the International Sivananda Yoga Teachers Training Course (TTC) in Kerala, India. That year, he met his guru, Swami Vishnu-devananda, founder of the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers (ISYVC). After the TTC, he joined the ISYVC and received sannyas initiation from Swami Vishnu-devananda in December 1991. During his 13 years in the ISYVC, Swami Atma directed the Chicago and Los Angeles branches and also led various teachings on hatha yoga, the Bhagavad Gita, and satsangs during Teachers' Training Courses in California, Upstate New York, Bahamas, Canada and India.
In December 2000, he founded the Advaita Yoga Ashrama (AYA) and continues to teach internationally.
