Nidrā Yoga

In Nidrā Yoga, we consciously relax the muscles, organs, bones, sense organs (eyes, ears...), the process of sensing (vision, hearing...), and the various functions of the mind to to come into a field of consciousness where the sense of time, space and Ego all dissolve, and there is nothing left but the experience of oneness. It is very psychologically purifying. The normal ups and downs of life begin to affect us less and less as we attain a joyful equanimity. Aside from relaxation, Nidrā yoga also involves concentration practices to find the balance between relaxation and concentration to trigger this super-conscious state. More details

Fredric Bender

Fredric has been teaching yoga for 30 years and has been co-director of Centre de Yoga - La Source since 1995. He started yoga in 1987 and took the Sivananda teachers training in 1990. Due to his own back injuries before yoga, he developed a sequence of yoga variations that form the cornerstone of his popular lower back yoga program. In 2006, he organized and completed a 4-year 500-hour teacher training program in the Nidrā Yoga of Kashmir Shaivism with André Riehl which was completed in 2010. Featured on the cover of Luxembourg's Revue Magazine for an interview on yoga meditation and invited to lead meditation programs at Fortune 500 companies' global retreats. 147 route d'Arlon, Strassen. With oak floors and a warm ambiance, our Strassen center is a haven from the hustle and bustle of city life, located on route d'Arlon near rue de Reckenthal, just 200m from the A6/E25 autoroute. See location & map

What to bring:

There are men and women's changing rooms at this location. Wear comfortable clothing to relax in that does not restrict your breathing at the waist. Since you will be lying on the floor a long time, please bring something thicker than a yoga mat (perhaps a yoga mat and a blanket). There are some yoga mats here to borrow, but not enough for all. Finally, a blanket to cover yourself during the long relaxation practice. If you are more than 10 minutes late, it is requested not to come so as not disturb the delicate state of consciousness that arises when the relaxation practice is in progress. Info for your first yoga class.

Payment:

At registration, we require term payment to guarantee your place. You may cancel after the first class according to our term cancellation policy.
