I dabbled in Hatha yoga in the 1990s, but it wasn’t until I was told by an orthopedic surgeon in 2001 that I could have a third back surgery OR do yoga that I started taking a serious interest in it. The interest deepened over time until finally I received my Yoga Siromani teaching certificate in 2011 from the Sivananda Ashram in Neyyar Dam, India. I have been teaching ever since. I continue to deepen her knowledge of yoga through regular teacher trainings and study with more experienced practitioners in the tradition of yoga.
