Yoga La Source

Kirtan with Aaron McCue in Strassen

Sunday 07 december 18:00 - 19:30

Experience the joy of chanting sanskrit mantras to musical accompaniment! The Bhakti yoga practice of kirtan opens our hearts and gives us a wonderful opportunity to express our feelings of love leading to the joyful feeling of our connection to all.

As a musician and kirtan singer, Aaron has been leading singing circles for several years, inviting people to experience the healing power of singing together. With harmonium, guitar, and voice, he creates spaces where connection, inner growth, and shared presence are at the center. For him, music is more than sound. It is a pathway to open the heart, to nurture the soul, and to celebrate the beauty of coming together in community.

What to Bring

Please bring a blanket and cushion to sit. If you need a chair, let us know.

Registration & Donation

Normally, participation in kirtan is done on a donation basis. As our programming does not enable this, use the "Virement" option in the window below simply to register. Do NOT use the credit card option nor make any payment to Yoga La Source. You can make a donation to Aaron on site. We suggest a minimum donation of €20, but we want the event open for everyone, so please give as you wish.

Style: Kirtan

Originating from ancient Indian traditions, mantras are mystical powers encased in a sound structure. They carry vibrational power that calms the nervous system, shifts emotional states, and cultivates inner stillness. They are repeated to focus the mind, uplift energy, and connect with deeper states of awareness. Through call-and-response mantra chanting, Kirtan invites us to quiet the mind, ground in the present moment, and move beyond the ego. Kirtan creates a powerful sense of connection within ourselves, with each other, and with the Divine, the Universe, or Universal Consciousness —whatever name resonates most. Through practices like mantra, kirtan, prayer, and loving service, Bhakti Yoga offers a way to transcend the ego and experience liberation through devotion, trust, and the opening of the heart.
