Yoga La Source organizes a day of yoga programs on Sunday, June 17th to benefit the Blossomy project, a charity for survivors of human trafficking and gender-based violence in India. These charitable programs will run throughout the day in two locations: four programs in the City Center and three in Strassen. Each program costs 10 Euros, and all proceeds will be donated to Blossomy.

13:00-13:45 Sound Bath: Ancient cultures have understood and modern science has proved that the entire cosmos is an ocean of vibration. Sound waves can induce a state of deep relaxation and calm and have many healing properties for the mind and body. Sound is heard not just by the ears but within every cell in the body. By using sound, energetic imbalances can be corrected and the body and mind balanced. Active listening to sound is also a valuable tool in meditation practice and is very complementary to Yoga Nidra. Inkeri will use the instrument Akebono to produce the vibrations of this sound bath. Come and surf the waves of sound and find your inner stillness.

14:00-15:45 Iyengar Yoga: What is unique about Iyengar Yoga is its emphasis on precision and alignment, planned sequencing, timing and the use of props. This approach allows people of varying ages, levels of health and fitness to enjoy the benefits which a sustained practice can bring. From the beginning, Iyengar Yoga develops strength, stamina, concentration, coordination, flexibility, and more. Using physical alignment as a starting point, Iyengar Yoga encourages the spread of intelligence throughout the body, the growth of self-awareness, and an experience of the asanas as a form of “meditation in action".

16:00-17:15 Yoga pour le dos (en français): La plupart des excercices se font allongé sur le dos pour minimiser la compression de la colonne vertébrale. Ils sont fait dans un rythme lent et régulier pour pouvoir développer une conscience claire de toutes les sensations dans le corps. Entre chaque excercice, on prend du temps pour relâcher consciemment toute tension musculaire. Ceci permet l’expérience de la profonde détente procurée par le yoga.

17:20-18:20 Nidra Yoga: In Nidrā Yoga, we consciously relax the muscles, organs, bones, sense organs (eyes, ears...), the process of sensing (vision, hearing...),  and the various functions of the mind to transcend the limited self and to come into the field of cosmic consciousness where time, space and the Ego all dissolve, and there is nothing left but the experience of oneness. It is very psychologically purifying. The normal ups and downs of life begin to affect us less and less as we attain a joyful equanimity. Fredric has invited Inkeri to start the session with 15 minutes of sound bath (see 13:00 session), before he starts the practice. Aside from relaxation, Nidrā yoga also involves concentration practices to find the balance between relaxation and concentration to trigger this super-conscious state.

18:35-20:00 Dinner at Swagat Indian Restaurant: Join us for a vegetarian Indian buffet at Swagat on route d'Arlon in Strassen (link). Price is 20 Euros including 1 drink. Pre-payment required. You are welcome to participate at the dinner even if you do not participate in any program throughout the day.
