Yoga La Source

Kundalini Workshop

Wednesday 16 march 14:00 - 17:00

For a number of years, Centre de Yoga - La Source has offered hatha yoga classes in various styles from different traditions. Additionally, it has been offering events and trainings going beyond the practice of postures.

These programs, presenting other aspects of yoga, have been very well received and we are happy to start a series of monthly workshops centered around the process of awakening the kundalini power leading one to the experience of deep meditation.

Deep meditation is easier than most yoga practitioners think. These Sunday workshops will provide the perfect complement to your practice of asanas (yoga postures). There should be a ratio of theory/practice of around 40% / 60%. Practices will vary from one workshop to the next but will generally include: silent meditation, mantra repetition and/or chanting, hatha yoga pranayama, kriya yoga pranayama, deep relaxation, mudras and bandhas, etc. There will be no asana practice.

The theory and philosophy teachings will aim to be as practical and pragmatic as possible focusing on explanations which will directly help you meditate deeper and awaken the spiritual power we call kundalini.

Following the workshop will be a vegetarian pot luck dinner.

Style: Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini Yoga combines purification practices such as yoga asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), and kriyas (cleansing actions) with practices of advanced pranayamas, mudras (seals), bandhas (energy locks) and mantras to awaken a dynamic force within us (Kundalini) that leads to sublime transcendent spiritual experiences. This is traditional Kundalini Yoga and should not be confused with that associated with yogi Bhajan. Go to the Kundalini Yoga page.
