Introduction to Yoga on Yoga Day!

To celebrate Yoga Day, Yoga La Source offers this 3-hour introduction to yoga with all proceeds going to Unicef Global Parent. Cost just €15 although additional donation welcome.
15:00-18:00. Taught in English, this program provides a step-by-step introduction to basic hatha yoga practices followed by a discussion on yoga theory so that the beginning student can understand the physical practice within the context of yoga as a whole.
On a theoretical level, the student is introduced to:
- the four paths of yoga
- what is hatha yoga
- prana, chakras and kundalini
- proper exercise
- proper breathing
- proper diet
- proper relaxation
- positive thinking & meditation
On a practical level, the student learns:
- the mechanics of proper breathing
- the sun salutation
- some of the basic postures of the Sivananda system
- proper relaxation
- meditation
Cancellation Policy:
There is no refund as all proceeds (less TVA) will go to charity. However, if you cannot come, please cancel so that someone else can participate.

Teacher: Fredric Bender
Fredric has been teaching yoga for 30 years and has been co-director of Centre de Yoga - La Source since 1995. He started yoga in 1987 and took the Sivananda teachers training in 1990. Due to his own back injuries before yoga, he developed a sequence of yoga variations that form the cornerstone of his popular lower back yoga program. In 2006, he organized and completed a 4-year 500-hour teacher training program in the Nidrā Yoga of Kashmir Shaivism with André Riehl which was completed in 2010. Featured on the cover of Luxembourg's Revue Magazine for an interview on yoga meditation and invited to lead meditation programs at Fortune 500 companies' global retreats.
