Ashtanga Yoga

Just a quick note to say thanks for the Ashtanga class on 9 Jan. in the City studio. To be honest I was a bit hesitant to go after the holidays and feeling super stiff. Now I am just so glad I did! It was inspirational to see your gentle, effortless movements and to get some wonderful insights into how to take care of our bodies with every movement we make – even up to details such as our wrists. Pregnancy Yoga

The birth went extremely well and I have to say that the yoga and the breathing techniques you taught us definitely helped. In fact, I managed to go through the whole birth without having an epidural, which was my aim initially, and which i hadn't manage for my first child, so thank you! I would like to thank you very much for the pregnancy yogas. The breathing exercises helped me cope with the pain during contractions and final labour. Also the pelvic floor exercise were particularly helpful in softening and opening of the cervix during the final labour.   Thank you once again . Hormone Yoga

For 5 months, I practice every day hormone yoga and all day long, I take advantage of its beneficial effects. I feel much more balanced, my immune system has regained strength...What luck to have been introduced to this source of energy! - C.C.

I wanted to express you my gratefulness for the yoga classes. In fact, so far, my pregnancy has been a wonderful experience without the slightest problem. I haven't go through any radical physical or psychical changes being mentioned in pregnancy books: no vomiting, no appetite problems, no food intolerance, no digestion problems, no hormones-related mood swings, no skin dryness, itching, stretch marks, no spots on my face or body from sun exposure and so on.

These problems are said to be caused by the raising levels of female hormones, but I am well aware that they are more conditioned by the woman's hormonal state before pregnancy. And, apparently, the fact that I practiced hormone yoga well before pregnancy has played an important role. I know it is not only due to hormone yoga, but also other yoga that I've been practicing, my diet and the entire lifestyle. However, the imbalance that I had on hormonal level returned to balance after that hormone yoga course. I wanted to tell you how happy and grateful I am for being your student. - M.O. 10/24/09
